Brutal Russia`s war against Ukraine forced millions of parents with children to flee their homeland and search for safety abroad. As part of an attempt to rebuild their lives in a foreign country, many Ukrainian children have started studying at local schools. Are parents satisfied with education abroad? RISE Ukraine Coalition and the Ministry of Infrastructure Initiate Joint Project for Digital Management of Ukraine’s Recovery Process
On August 26, the RISE Ukraine coalition signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. As part of the cooperation, the Rebuild Ukraine Digital Management (RUDM) system will be launched. The RUDM system is a modern anti-corruption tool of public administration designed to contribute to coordinating all the parties’ efforts and support the most effective decisions.

EdCamp Introduces a Professional Development Program for Teachers
EdCamp Ukraine invites educators to join a free professional development program “Transformation of Digital Education.” The program is designed to help educators successfully transform teaching in their schools to engage with students in the digital age. The program involves the participation of 50 school teams of 5-10 people who will work on creating unique innovative products. The application deadline is September 7.

On August 29, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center held a press conference “Video content as an important tool for spreading information about the Crimea” at the Ukrinform news agency. The Youth Platform Launches a Project That Will Help to Adapt Young IDPs
On August 25, the Youth Platform held the first meeting of teams of youth centers within the project “Good evening, we are from Ukraine!” The goal of the project is to integrate internally displaced youth into social activity and the life of local communities, adapt them to new conditions, and lower the level of psycho-emotional stress. The youth centers that joined the project will develop and implement various social activities to help solve these problems and create safe and comfortable conditions for young IDPs.

CSOs Urge to Ignore Draft Law that Can Disrupt NABU Head Selection
On August 26, a number of prominent civil society organizations announced that the parliament had registered a draft law 7654 that changes qualification requirements for the heads of several state agencies, including NABU. Activists point out that it is an attempt to disrupt the competition for the appointment of the head of NABU. In addition, supporting such an initiative will have a negative impact on the performance of the entire anti-corruption ecosystem. Activists call not to support the draft law and to dismiss its author from a number of his positions.
