This past week marked an important moment not only for Ukraine’s civil society and human rights community, but for all Ukrainian people—the release of Ukrainian prisoners detained in Russia. The resiliency and efforts of activists—like the KharkivPride organizers who fought for their right to hold a parade—are something to recognize and celebrate. Both events remind us of the great commitments made by civil society leaders and activists who are all too often attacked for exposing injustice, ensuring accountability, and fighting for inclusion and human rights. They continue to inspire our civil society community to remain committed. Find your own inspiration in this week’s highlights.
