We work to create a state that is fair equal and inclusive towards all

This week marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day, when on June 6th, 1944, Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. Besides being the largest seaborne invasion in history, it was considered to have changed the course of World War II. The anniversary provides us with a moment to reflect on the past and the great sacrifices some make in serving their country. As civil society leaders, we similarly serve our country. We work to create a state that is fair, equal, and inclusive towards all. And we can also consider how our own social landscape has changed and what legacy we will leave for our future generations. This week, USAID/ENGAGE highlights the impressive efforts of Ukraine’s young leaders. Civic-minded young leaders are not restrained by their classroom—they carry their principles with them as they celebrate music and culture, creating inclusive and environmentally-conscious festivals that can be enjoyed by all.
