Charity is rewarding. Definitely, the pleasure of giving is greater than the excitement from receiving. However, when you donate to CSOs you usually receive an exceptional reward – an opportunity to join the process of making the world a better place. Do Ukrainians contribute to such initiatives? Our Civic Engagement Poll revealed that 11% of Ukrainians donated to CSOs during the past year. The average sum of donations mainly does not exceed 100 UAH. What motivates our citizens to do charity? According to the Zagoriy Foundation survey, Ukrainians do charity because they sympathize with those who need help (63%), realize that they can need similar help tomorrow (43%), or enjoy doing so (17%). Check our chart for more details!
